問題詳情

                                The Maasai
The Maasai tribe of Kenya and Tanzania is one of the most well-known tribes of Africa. They have a distinctive culture and way of dressing that not changed for centuries. They speak a language called Kimaasai, which is also known as Maa.
Their cattle are very important to the Maasai and they use them as money. This means that they buy
the things they need with cattle, not money. The Maasai believe that their god "Enkai” gave them all of
the cattle in the world. If any other people have cattle, the Maasai believe that they must have stolen
those cattle from them.
The Maasai men do the famous “jumping” dance to show their strength. In Maasai culture, young
men have to kill a lion to be able to marry. Women have almost no rights in Maasai culture and must
build huts for their family to live in. They must also cook and raise their children.
At the moment, there are about 900,000 Maasai living in Kenya and Tanzania. (寂天)6077cd1d911df.jpg
