A. This March, thousands of people raced through northeastern Taiwan. They were   11   the Wanjinshi Marathon, which is named after the areas it winds through—theWanli, Shimen, and Jinshan Districts of New Taipei City. The hilly route was challenging,but that’s   12   the runners were looking for.   About 4,000 people joined the first marathon, which was held in 2003 and called theJinshan Marathon.   13   the event grew, the course was extended into Wanli andShimen, and the organizers had to move the finish line.
