      Some countries have different color post boxes. For example,in Taiwan, the green post box is for 2nd class letters or postcards.The red post box is for 1st class post. In the UK, all the post boxes
are red. As you can see in the photo, there are two types of post boxes. A free-standing post box is shown on the left. On the right-hand side, there is a wall box. On each box, there is a symbol to represent the King. So, GR stands for King George and ER stands for Queen Elizabeth.
      In the early days of the postal service, the collection times for each day were listed on the front of the
post box. Since 2005, only the last collection time is shown. The collection time differs from post box
to post box.
      In the past, some people wanted to protest against the government. So, they placed bombs in post
boxes. A strange thing happened to one post box. One day a bomb exploded in a post box but the post
