問題詳情

Because computers have become important in our daily lives, they have opened a new door to criminals (罪犯). Ten or twenty years ago, computer crimes were only committed by a few smart people who illegally entered government and company databases (資料庫). Their crimes were often driven by mischief (惡作劇) and curiosity.  Nowadays, almost everyone has his or her own computer. Computer criminals no longer work for mischief. They steal credit card numbers, client information and business plans from people’s computers through the Internet. Unfortunately, this is not the only crime.  Some criminals spread dangerous viruses (病毒) through the Internet to destroy computer files and the networks. This can influence greatly. Imagine what would happen if a virus destroyed all of a hospital’s medical records or even shut down machines that were keeping people alive (活著的)! In today’s world, this is scary and possible to happen.  Fortunately, there are people working to keep computers safe. Banks, schools, doctors’ offices, and computer companies are all working to make sure computer data is kept secret and protected. Nevertheless, you should always be aware of new computer crimes just behind your screen.
