問題詳情
Hip-hop dance started in the streets of New York in the 1970s. It has become so popular that there aremovies, video games, and shows dedicated to it. Unlike other styles of dance, hip-hop is more free andunstructured. It doesn’t require any special shoes or clothes. The best known form of hip-hop dance isbreakdancing. Breaking requires fast footwork and strength with moves such as head spins and windmills.Breakers need to exercise regularly to stay in shape. Locking is another style of hip-hop dance, focusing onsudden pauses in the middle of movement. Popping, a style in which dancers contract and relax theirmuscles in rhythm is also popular. Often, hip-hop dance forms are combined. Dancers join crews, or danceteams and participate in international competitions.
