D.Some people may think the whale shark is a whale, but it’s the biggest shark in the world. And, it’s the largest living fish onthe planet. Its size is about 25 feet, and it can be up to 46 feet long. The whale shark has a big flat mouth. It is at the very frontof the shark’s head and can be up to 4 feet wide. Its eyes are very small on both sides. It also has about 3,000 small teeth butthey are of little use. And, there are a large top fin and many special dots on its back. Whale sharks live in warm waters. They spend most of their time near the water surface by themselves, so we seldom seegroups of them. They swim very slowly by moving their bodies from side to side, not just their tails. They may have babies at theage of 30 years old and can live up to 100-150 years. They have plankton or some other small fish for food. They don’t hurtpeople, so some people even like to play with them in the water.
