Since its 38 , ILM has specialized in the research anddevelopment of special effects techniques used in films. One of ILM’s major 39 to special effects was the use of a new filmingtechniques for models. In this technique, a camera was connected to a crane for filming amodel, like one of the spaceships used in Star Wars.
