All he found inside it was a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been there for years. 36 The letter writer, whose name was Hannah, told the recipient, Michael, that she could not see him anymore, though she would always love him. 37 However, with the help of a phone operator, he discovered that a woman called Hannah used to live at the address on the envelope. 38  Arnold called the nursing home, and the manager hesitatingly allowed him to come and visit Hannah. 39 When she saw the letter, Hannah told Arnold it had been the last contact she had ever had with Michael. She said, "If you should find him, tell him I still think of him." 40
