⑵A man bought things on the Internet. But one day, he got an e-mail from a bank. The bank says that there wassomething wrong with his credit card number. A few minutes later, a woman called and asked for his credit cardnumber. He didn’t follow her words and he went to check his bank records. Luckily, there were no mistakes.
This is a common Internet trick. We have to protect ourselves when we use the Internet. There are some ways tomake you safe. First, if someone e-mails or calls you and says he or she is from a bank, it’s probably a scam. Don’tfollow his / her words. Second, don’t call back with the phone number in the e-mail! It’s probably not real, either.Third, if you like to post the information on websites like Facebook, be careful of it! Some strangers may read it.
It’s important not to let other people know your personal information. Remember : when strangers ask forpersonal information or money, they’re probably trying to trick you.
