Mr. Lee felt strange about this. One of his old customers sometimes visited hisneighbor’s restaurant, so Mr. Lee asked him, “Do thenoodles next door taste better than mine?” “No,”answered the customer, “in fact, both of your noodlestaste good.” “So, why are there more customers in Mr.Chen’s restaurant when his noodles cost more?” askedMr. Lee. The customer put down his chopsticks andthought for a while. Then, he said, “Well, it took mearound half an hour to finish your noodles because theyare very hot when you serve. But, in the otherrestaurant, I spend only fifteen minutes finishing thenoodles. Mr. Chen put the noodles in cold water forabout thirty seconds before serving, so the noodleswon’t be too hot to eat.
