IV. 閱讀測驗:下面兩篇短文,每篇各附五個問題。請選出最適當的答案回答問題。 Which hand do you hold a pen with? Most people use their right hand. But one out of tenAmericans uses the left hand. That is more than 20 million people all together. No one is sure whatmakes a person right-handed or left-handed. Some people think that left-handed parents will haveleft-handed children. Children usually show which hand they will use by the age of six. Long ago,left-handers were thought to be evil. The Romans believed that the right side of the body was thegood side but the left side held evil spirits. These days, most people don’t really mind beingleft-handed. Yet left-handers still find it hard to use many items. Can openers, telephones, andwatches are easier for right-handed people to use. So are cameras, guitars, and notebooks. Moreand more stores now sell items made just for left-handers. These stores have special scissors, rulers, and tools. When lefties visit these stores, they no longer feel “left out.”
