問題詳情

People often lose things, but do you know thousands of people lose their umbrellas when it rains? People drop them in coffee shops, restaurants, buses, movie theaters and almost any places you can think of.  Umbrellas first came to the United States in 1772. At that time, umbrellas were not so many, and people seldom lost them. However, it is strange now that 3000 umbrellas are left on New York City’s MRT each year. There are even more than 800 umbrellas lost in only one day in London, England.  It seems that the rain lets people lose their umbrellas more than gets them wet. If you go out in rainy days next time, don’t forget to carry your umbrella again when you finish what you are doing.                                                                                                      * more than 超過/ seem似乎/ if 如果
