七、閱讀測驗：10％（每題2分） Dear Mom and Dad, I’ve been here for three weeks and now I’m doing well in the class. Thank you for telling me to write a card to Ms. Wen for Teacher’s Day next month. I’ll do it. My friend and I spent (花費) a five-day vacation in the home of an American family. Mr. Black met us at the train station and took us to his farm in his pick-up. There we met his wife and two sons, Kevin and Pete. His only daughter, Molly, was staying with her friends in Japan. Mr. Black is busy growing fruits and vegetables and he has about two hundred cows. However, he doesn’t milk the cows himself (他自己). A milking machine does that. Mr. Black also has a computer to help him. It tells him a lot of things, like the best time to grow fruits and vegetables or to sell them. But there is one thing the computer doesn’t do: tell him that it’s time for dinner. We did have much fun on the farm.
