They now meet every Saturday in Manhattan’s Union Square to give out free hugs. Also, in Phoenix, Arizona, Ian Fecke-Stoudt started a “Free Hugs” group in 2007. In 2008, he even tried to break the world record (紀錄) of 765 for most hugs in an hour. He hugged 806 different people, but he was in such a hurry that many of his hugs did not go all the way around the other person’s body.
