 Everyone knows Antoine is the author of The Little Prince, but do you know he had another job when he was still alive? This famous France writer was also a good pilot, and, therefore, he flew planes very well. Antoine joined army in 1921 and took a flying lesson. He even tried to break the speed record in an air race held in Paris. However, he didn’t finish it and crashed in Sahara Desert. Luckily, he survived the crash. Antoine and his co-pilot escaped from death but they had to face thirst and hunger. Anyway, they made through the difficult situation. Thanks to Antoine’s experience in the desert, one of the greatest stories, The Little Prince, was created.        Antoine joined French Air Force during World War II. He wanted to fight for his country. Sadly, Antoine disappeared after taking off for a mission in 1944.
