LinHwai-min eventually realized his dream as a dancer. He hassuccessfully created Taiwan dance arts with perfect fusion of Chineseand Western dancing spirits and skills. In fact, his road 39 success was tough because his parents preferred him to have asuccessful career and 40 high social status; in theireyes, dancing could be a hobby at most. His love for dancing, whichkindled at five, never faded and he finally determined to learnmodern dance at 23. The training was so much more difficult than hehad expected that he once thought of quitting; 41 , hestill chose to commit himself to 42 for excellence. As thesaying goes, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” Lin, whorefused to let any obstacles and difficulties stop him and kept ondancing to his own tune, not just became a great dancer atprofessional dance troupes in the U.S.A, but also 43 CloudGate Dance Theater, which plays an important role in the developmentof modern dance in Taiwan.
